Jackson, Mississippi, April 6, 2004 - Mississippi’s new professional contemporary dance company, Polarity Dance Theatre, will host a lunch event, “Brown Bag Ballet, Modern on the Side, Please,” to celebrate National Administrative Professionals Day in their downtown Jackson location on Tuesday, April 20 and Wednesday, April 21, 2004.

“Together with Steve Long of Steve’s Downtown Deli and Bakery we hope to serve up a delightful menu of dance and delectables, making lunch a moving experience,” said Polarity’s Artistic Director, Marc M. Arentsen.

While guests enjoy one of three meal choices and dessert in the ambiance of Polarity’s temporary residence at 119 South President Street in bustling downtown Jackson, the company will perform works from their eclectic repertoire of neoclassical ballet and modern dance.

“This is just one more added cultural experience that makes our Capital City so special and Jackson is fortunate to have talented artists like those at Polarity,” said John Lawrence, President of Downtown Jackson Partners. “More importantly, we are excited that they would generously schedule lunch hour events to entertain and celebrate hard working Downtown employees.”
